It has long been thought that a large percentage of food and beverage processing waste contains a wealth of nutritional and dietary compounds, but harvesting these compounds has be The Nexteq Advantage uses Counter Current Extraction (CCE), filtration and drying technology to remove wine and juice from pressed grape marc. The raw liquid extract is clarified and then filtered through 0.1 micrometre (1/10,000th of a millimetre) stainless steel membranes operating in a cross flow configuration and then concentrated using reverse osmosis to make a final product. Through a complex process The Nexteq Advantage plant is able to manufacture a high value stockfeed from using winery waste products. The stockfeed product is marketed as ProVine, the product is highly sought after by intensive animal industries including beef and dairy cattle, equine and sheep industries. The process uses no additional water and yields a stockfeed with 14% protein and metabolisable energy content of 10%.
